This letter is provided by the Ministry of Law and Human Rights of The Republic of Indonesia Directorate General of Immigration regarding a new regulation released on 3 August 2018 with the attention subject on ‘Visit Visa and Visa on Arrival Exemption for Foreigner Identified as British Citizens with Travel Documents’.


This is solely a guide for those affected by the new information. The Visa-Free facilities and Visa-on-Arrival aren’t available if you’re a British Overseas Territories Citizen, British Overseas National, British Overseas Citizen, British Subject, or British Protected Person. Travellers will have to apply for a visa before their travel and can apply at the Indonesia Embassy in their home country. Please check with your respective embassy for the application requirement. For those holding a full ‘British Citizen’ passport, you don’t need a visa to enter Indonesia for visits of up to 30 days, calculated to include your date of arrival and date of departure.
