Two Clutches of Hawksbill Turtle Eggs Have Been Found at Nirwana Gardens!

27 March 2024 – Nirwana Gardens has discovered two clutches of Hawksbill Turtle eggs on the beaches of Mayang Sari Beach Resort and Indra Maya Pool Villas.

Through dedicated efforts, staff of Nirwana Gardens work tirelessly to protect these endangered species that are listed on the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species, as well as to educate visitors and the local community about the importance of the conservation of this species for future generations.

To foster a safe and nurturing environment for hatchlings, Nirwana Gardens conducts frequent beach cleaning activities with staff volunteers, all with a common goal of coastal conservation in mind and protection of sea turtles. Staff from the last beach cleaning held on 6 March 2024 successfully cleared 150kg of trash from both coastal and inland areas.

We hope you will join us at this once-in-a-lifetime experience as we release the Hawksbill Turtle hatchlings during the week of 20 to 26 May 2024. The exact date of release will be announced when the hatch date can be confirmed.
